Character Name: Fleur Delacour-Weasley PB: Gemma Ward Age:23 Birthday: March 16, 1977 Wand: 9 ½ inches, inflexible Rosewood, Veela Hair House in School: Attended Beauxbatons Bloodline: Fleur is half-blooded as there is Veela in her heritage from her Grandmother. Political View: Fleur is staunchly on the side of the Order of the Phoenix and Dumbledore; even though she did not actually join the Order until after the Battle of Hogwarts. |

Height: 5'6" Weight: 120 lbs. Eyes: dark blue Hair: silvery blonde Build: slender/willowy Dress Style: Fleur is always dressed very much in the height of fashion and style. She always looks very well put together and very much like a lady. She wears robes that are very complimentary to her coloring; always long and wispy, and sometimes with patterns or decorations of a delicate nature. Basic Physical Description: Fleur is strikingly beautiful with her pale, petite features and silvery blonde hair. She is not overly short or tall falling nicely into the middle category. Physically she is rather slim though she is not without a few feminine curves. Defining Marks: Owing to her Veela heritage Fleur is strikingly beautiful with silvery blonde hair and a frightening temper. She also speaks in a 'throaty' voice that is very thick with her French accent. |

Fleur is generally a bubbly and upbeat person, but she also comes equipped with a razor sharp tongue, and while she seems cool and aloof, she truly has a very large heart though it might not always be outwardly visible. She is fiery and passionate about those she loves and those to whom she is loyal. She has a wild range of emotions and she can speed through them in the blink of an eye. In that moment's time we can see Fleur go from being her usual upbeat and happy self to angry; revealing her sharp tongue and temper inherited from her Veela grandmother. She is definitely a hot-head; allowing her heart to guide her rather than her mind. And while she might not have Hermione's intellect, or Harry's bravery and resourcefulness she is a singularly gifted witch and is extremely intelligent in her own right. Fleur's strength is definitely her wand work; she is a very gifted witch in her knowledge of charms and enchantments, but her downfall lies in her ability to use this knowledge under pressure. Perhaps Fleur's greatest strength and yet her greatest weakness is her passion and emotion. She is a creature capable of such a wide variety of emotions that she can love so deeply and hate endlessly. |

Extrovert/Introvert:Fleur is an extrovert and loves attention; which she usually gets in large doses thanks to her Veela heritage. Since her marriage she has toned down her need to be the center of attention, but she will always adore the spotlight. Fleur is also very quick to let others know what she thinks and feels – in fact she spends most of her year at Hogwarts complaining about everything having to do with the school. She is in no away shy or scared of sharing her ideals and opinions. Boggart Would Be: Fenrir Greyback, the man. Fleur's small family has been devastated in the past two years by this man, not the werewolf. It was Fenrir Greyback who, untransformed, forever maimed her fiancé. And it was Fenrir Greyback, the man, who murdered her younger sister in an attempt to force Bill to his side. I believe Fleur fears this man on the level of which she fears Lord Voldemort – even with Voldemort's defeat Fleur believes Fenrir will return to finish the job he started on Bill during the Battle of Hogwarts. Patronus Would Be: Yes, Fleur can produce a corporeal patronus – it takes the form of an abraxan, a great winged horse which resembles a Pegasus. In mythology the Pegasus is widely regarded as a creature of great beauty and intelligence – I believe that the creature is the perfect balance to Fleur because of these features. Thanks to her Veela blood Fleur is an exceptional beauty and highly intelligent. These qualities match well with the mythology of the Pegasus – the perfect familiar for Fleur. |

It can be assumed she has a moderate inheritance coming to her and is earning a decent income at Gringotts. |

Parents: Mother: Florence Delacour Father: Unknown Siblings: Gabrielle Delacour - Deceased Fleur was very close to her younger sister until her death and had a very good relationship with her Mother. Since her marriage to Bill she has seen and heard much less from her mother. Though their relationship is still very strong it has certainly evolved since Fleur started her own life with Bill. When it comes to politics Fleur’s family had never publicly chosen sides, but in their hearts and minds had always sided with Dumbledore and the Order. Being that they are from France they have been mostly immune to Ministry politics, until now. |

Growing up Fleur lived with her mother and her younger sister, Gabrielle. The Mother/Daughter trio lived quite comfortably and peacefully together before Fleur left for school. Unlike most of those she now rubs shoulders with Fleur did not attend Hogwarts; being that she is a native of France she attended Beauxbatons the elite French School of Magic. At school Fleur really never had a lot of friends due to her striking features and haughty attitude, and she knew the few friendships she did have at school were thin, at best. While at school she always missed home, or more specifically her family, but, nevertheless, she worked very hard to pull grades at the top of her class. Beauxbatons was a very competitive school system, pitting the students against each other for the top grades each term. Fleur is very intelligent, and shows an affinity for charms and enchantments, but always struggled in her defense classes - Fleur never had the talent or resourcefulness to be a successful duelist. In her last year of school Fleur traveled with the rest of the students at Beauxbatons to Hogwarts for the Tri-Wizard Tournament. When Fleur arrives at Hogwart's she takes every possible chance to criticize anything that has to do with Hogwarts. She seems to be immune to the effect she has on the male students of Hogwarts; especially Ron Weasley who asks her to the Yule Ball later in the term. Fleur enters the tournament that year and is chosen as the Beauxbatons champion; a great honor for her and her family. Fleur is pitted against a dragon in the first task and uses an enchantment to put her dragon to sleep, but its breathe caught fire to her skirt; she is, however easily able to put the fire out with her wand. In the first task Fleur demonstrates her knowledge of charms, and it is not until the second task that we see her weakness. While underwater in the second task she is apprehended by a grindylow and is unable to proceed further into the task. At Hogwarts, Defense Against the Dark Arts students are introduced to grindylows in their third year. While Fleur could have easily told you any number of curses or enchantments to ward off the being before the task – when faced with the water demon she is easily bested. Fleur is not able to react quickly enough to the threat with a cool head and intellect. The task has the Champions attempting to retrieve something that was stolen from them, but this is not an ordinary something. The task has them searching for the thing they would miss most if they were to lose it. For Fleur, this is her sister Gabrielle; a true defining moment for Fleur's character revealing her love of family. At the end of the year Fleur is not crowned the Tri-Wizard Champion, but she does finally make a connection with Hogwarts and mentions seeking a position there to improve her English. Though Fleur did not return as a Professor or even to Hogwarts she did return to England and took a part-time position at Gringott's Wizarding Bank. Though she does have a job and is working on her English she has also been spending much her spare time studying household spells and trying to domesticate herself. A task that has been much more daunting than she had ever imagined, in fact, she finds her respect for Mrs. Weasley growing everyday. She has spent much of the last two years preparing for her marriage to Bill while living at the Burrow; much to the chagrin of the female Weasleys. It was no secret that Molly Weasley was not entirely enthusiastic about her eldest son's impending marriage, in fact, she was rather dreading it. Fleur spent much of the last two years as the butt of many jokes and being referred to as 'Phlegm'. She was, however, determined to gain acceptance and prove her love for Bill to the Weasleys. It took much of the first year of her engagement to do this, and it was only after Bill's maiming by Fenrir Greyback that Molly truly saw the depth of Fleur's love for Bill. Fleur bravely stood up to Molly and took her rightful place at Bill's bedside, bathing his wounds and proclaiming there would, in fact, still be a wedding. It was after this affirmation that Molly finally came to accept Fleur as her future daughter-in-law. Fleur and Bill married that June in a beautiful outdoors ceremony; Gabrielle, Fleur's sister, stood beside her as Maid-of-Honor, and Bill's younger sister, Ginny, served as the bridesmaid. The loss of Dumbledore and defection of Severus was still very fresh and raw in everyones heart and appropriately the wedding was kept small and intimate. No one had the stomach for reveling or frivolity that summer. After the marriage Bill and Fleur purchased a small cottage in Ottery St. Catchpole, staying very near the Burrow. After Bill's attack and the murder of Dumbledore, who had been so kind when she stayed at Hogwarts, Fleur did in fact join the Order of the Phoenix. She worked mostly as a liaison to the French Ministry and from inside Gringott's Bank filtering information for the Order. Meanwhile, Fenrir Greyback continued to stalk Bill after the Battle of Hogwarts; attempting to finish the job and turn Bill to his side. It was an attempt to force Bill over to the Dark side that cost Gabrielle her life. After the loss of Gabrielle, Fleur redoubled her efforts in the Order doubling the amount of missions she undertook. She worked tirelessly to bring about the downfall of the Dark Lord. She never really took the time to mourn for her sister - the loss cut her too deeply and was more than she could handle. Fleur was present at the final battle and in the end came out on the worst side owing to her poor skills as a duelist. But unlike many she lived to start again and rebuild. With the war now over the Wizarding world begins to rebuild and Fleur must find the strength to do the same. The time has come that she must truly deal with the loss of her sister and rebuild her own life and that of her family, because the war took not only her sister, but also her brother-in-law, Percy. And while Fleur is beginning to deal with her own loss she must help her husband to deal with his own.. |
